Washed Out

Fall 12 sees denimwear, sneakers and knits offered in distressed and washed finishes that interprets the carefree grunge style popularized in the early 90’s. Acid-washed loose fitting knits from Alexander Wang and stained ‘band’ t-shirts from Dsquared2, alongside heavily worn and distressed Golden Goose sneakers and slim cut destroyed Balmain biker jeans, evoke a lived-in spirit.

The same ethos is applied to heritage pieces; ‘worn’ look mountaineering boots from Diemme and Golden Goose, distressed leather belts and bracelets from Dsquared2, alongside paint-splashed bullet-holed denim from McQ Alexander McQueen that add character to already timeless styles. Orelebar Brown, Pierre Balmain, Dsquared2 and Nudie Jeans offer a more subtle take with light distressing across easy five-pocket jeans, denim jackets and effortless crewneck t-shirts.
