Born in Kiryu, Japan in 1969 and a graduate of Tokyo's Bunka Academy of Fashion, designer Jun Takahashi transformed his love of punk rock music and costume into a men’s and womenswear label in 1991. UNDERCOVER has since garnered a cult following for its punk-influenced take on modern streetwear, and its rejection of mainstream views on fashion.
A former assistant to acclaimed designer Junya Watanabe, Yosuke Aizawa conceived Tokyo-based label White Mountaineering in 2006. Since, the brand has been gaining international exposure for its self-described "haute mountaineering" style, capturing the essence of outdoor wearability in their functional yet fashion-forward accessories, classic footwear, and heritage-inspired separates.
Founded in 2003, SASQUATCHfabrix is creatively controlled by as-yet anonymous Japanese collective, Wonder Worker Guerilla Band, members of which have their roots in architecture, illustration, and graphic design. Continually bridging the gap between the East and the West, SASQUATCHfabrix integrates Japanese fabrics, techniques, and elements of traditional dress into their collections of forward-thinking streetwear.
